“Versatility best describes Artist Diana S. Martin,”       The Post Times

 

      For over 32 years Diana has applied her talent to many artistic endeavors. These include sculpture, ceramic creations, jewelry making ,clothing design  and fabric painting, even dimensional wall hangings created from wood, fibers, metals and paper. The list of her creative accomplishments is endless and through out her career there has always been a steady flow of paintings from her studio no matter what project she may be involved in at the time.

       Diana has also worked in the area of Stage and Theatre creating set design and painting magnificent backdrops over 100 feet in length.

       For over 2 years Diana was the Art Director for Via Flora of Palm Beach, a ballroom production company, creating exotic décor for elaborate galas and events!

       In addition to all of this Diana is an award winning airbrush artist. She learned to use the airbrush over 25 years ago and within 2 years she won a number of national car shows with her custom painted corvettes! Then she turned her airbrush into a tool for the Decorator market and for over 10 years airbrushed beautiful scenes and endless subjects with acrylic and lacquer paints on paper and canvas.

     Over the last 15 years Diana has worked with Interior Decorators and private clients all over the United States, painting custom ordered pieces of art as well her own concepts.

       In addition she has designed a collection for Gloria Vanderbilt and also created the original Pegasus design for the Tri-Star Motion Pictures. Her artwork has been featured in a variety of magazines and collectors of her work reside all over the U.S. and Europe.

       Diana has won numerous awards and First Place ribbons in various shows over the years and currently is being published by an International Art Publisher.

      Diana now spends her time painting on canvas, paper or masonite and loves using a variety of techniques and media, creating with acrylics, enamels, watercolors, graphite or pastels with equal enthusiasm! Her study of wildlife and nature is reflected in some of her most recognized works but any subject that she paints is equally endowed with her ability to use color and creativity.
