John Bennett was an American
(English decent) potter who originally made pottery in N.Y. City in the later part of the 19th century to the earlier part of the 20th. He originally imported
English biscuit clay, but then devised his own mixture.
....Some of his works can be seen at the Metropolitan
Museum of Art, Where a larger piece of his was purchased for exhibit several years ago.
This is a rare John Bennett oil
lamp. Deep red and yellow nasturtiums on turquoise body.

60 Pieces of Imari
This is a set
containing 60 pieces of what I believe to be Imari dishes. All pieces are signed with 6
characters and done in remarkable detail. The colors are sharp and the condition in
almost perfect except for a chip on 2 of the plates. One of the 10" has a
1/4" chip, and one of the 5 1/2" has a chip. Both are on the edges.
There are 12 / 10" plates, 12 / 7.5" plates, 12 / 5.5" plates 12 saucers and 12 cups all signed and all painted on both sides. The display of these in any cabinet is extremely eye-catching. I am not sure of the age. click to see pictures. price upon request.
