Today I received the two dolls I was high bidder on in your auction that ended

I had many questions before and during the bidding process and you were quick to provide helpful answers. The merchandise was shipped promptly. From: BUYLIGHTER
To: Wolffegang

I just want to write this note to tell you how pleased I was with the Clark Enamel Lift-Arm lighter. I have about 1200 lighters and it is very difficult for me to find a lighter of this quality in the present day market. I especially like Enamel lighters and this one will fit into my collection very nicely. I just want to convey my thanks, and let you know that I would be interested in any other lighters you may find. Thanks again and keep . . . . . THINKING LIGHTERS!

Dear Rob,

To begin with, I would like to say thank you for the wonderful doll collection I purchased from you. It arrived safe and sound.

When I opened those three HUGE boxes, I was continually delighted with every single item I pulled out.

Each and every item was exactly as you described. I was even more delighted when I found additional barbies, clothes and additional item’s that you never even told me about. I have got my money out of these item’s ten times over.

With this collection I will be able to seriously increase my inventory of Barbies, clothes and other dolls and related items that I have for sale here on line.

I would like to end my letter by saying that I will refer you to everyone I know.

If you ever need anything, please do not hesitate to let me know.
You have been wonderful to deal with.

Cordially

Subj:    Re: Dunhill pipe
Date:    5/1/00 2:36:35 PM Eastern Daylight Time
From:    ross@btinternet.com (Ross Pullen)
To:    Wolffegang@aol.com

Rob,
Just a quick note to say that the Dunhill has arrived safe and sound at
Scott's place :)
Scott says that apart from the dented top, it's in great condition. Scott will
work on restoring the top for me shortly. Actually, we think the pipe dates from
1929, which is the year my Father was born, and I will give it to him for
Fathers day this June :)
I'd like to thank you for all the time and trouble you've gone to in making this
a very smooth transaction.
Isn't it strange that after all this time, the Dunhill should come back to
within 20 miles of where it was made, all those years ago ?

Ross Pullen, a very satisfied customer !!

Definition of a Picker (humor)

1) A person who can't stick to one area of collecting.
2) A legalized gambler of goods.
3)He/She buys on impulse simply because it looks like something they saw in
Millers.
4)Overpays for junk and underpays for the good stuff.
5)Has a lot of fun even if that Carnival Glass is a repro.
6)Thinks He/She is the worlds greatest Super Sleuth ( Sherlock Holmes ).

Definition of a picker ( really )

A picker buys goods on speculation with the expectation of re-sale resulting in a reasonable return on His/Her investment. This person is most often found dealing in
antiques and collectibles. They will generally have a informal contract with dealers or collectors who have supplied them with a list of items they are interested in. The Picker attempts to find those items at a price that allows them a margin for profit and yet allows a collector to acquire the item at a reasonable cost with the expectation of the item appreciating in value or - for the Dealer acquiring the item at a cost that allows a reasonable markup for their profit.
A picker may specialize but more often has a general knowledge of many types of Antiques and/or Collectibles. His/Her challenge is finding these items and being able to turn them over. For there generally is no obligation on the part of the buyer to purchase the item if it doesn't meet their criteria as to cost or quality.
Pickers do believe they are Super Sleuths. They enjoy the hunt much more than owning the goods themselves.

Hows this grab ya.
